You can choose basically any specification you want -- dance programs, sports, region, anything! They'll have a lsit of colleges that match those requirements.

UEA (University of East Anglia), has a really great drama course and quite a good rowing team too (tends to be focused on novice or the odd amazing sculler though). The rowing team is not huge but still successfull.
UL (university of London) has a much better rowing team but not such a good drama course
Oxford Brookes is famous for its rowing team but not sure what its drama course is like (not very good for study that one)
All these places have websites type name of uni + boat club or Rowing into google and away you go!!!
Tuition fees in the UK are alot lower than in the states, also to join a rowing club at university you will only have to pay membership fees of about £50 a year if you cox it is often even cheaper i think i nly paid about £30 when i went.
Americans here will tell you that they have to pay a hell of alot more!!!

Also there are loads of crews to join but competion is very stron. I know loads of oxford and cambridge coxes that are good but have barely raced in 3 years except against other colleges.
What course are you looking for?
Also although oxford and cambridge have good crews the majority of college crews tend not to be that special, compaired to the reputation the boat race crews have anyway.
If you post what course you are looking for and basically what you are looking to do crew wise with your e-mail address i can send you details of a few uni's that have good courses and good crews
It is worth studying abroad, it is an amazing experiance!!

I'm looking to go into either law or journalism, possibly both, and something involving activism in human rights back in the US because people don't pay enough attention to that here...lol. As you can see I'm not entirely clear.
I would definitely like to cox, preferably for a fairly good program but doesn't have to be the absolute best. My email is
