I heard this prayer somehere it is not really a prayer but maybe a poem..I juat though it was cute!! it is by Shannon Obrycki

A Rowing Prayer

May the water beneath you be fast and calm.

May your boats keep you safe and strong.

May your seats slide well and stay on the track.

May you "break" your oars and not your back!

May you stay in the lead after the start, But if not, it's ok, just don't let that affect your heart!

Just keep pulling as hard as you can!

Whatever you do don't let it hit the fan!

The race isn't very long so give it your all in every stroke.

That way you can't look back on it as a joke.

May you all walk away with a medal, But if not, don't think you should settle!

Just go back the next year even more prepared.

All those other teams will look at you and become scared!

Know that you all have power, determination, and strong will.

And there is no one out there that can beat your skill!

I have much faith and belief in you! I know our God above does too!

Go and do the best you can do!
