Yet again another uneventful day. Chris wasn't here today but the whole guys varsity team knows that he is "injured" (I probably shouldn't put quotation marks around the word because he really is injured, it's just a funny injury to those of us who aren't injured.) I must say the boat was lonely without him. Tomorrow we start seat racing. We had the customary seat racing talk today. Ed went over the explanation of the whole thing and then the process and then the logistics. The Gonzaga coach was at practice today, but since I'm only a junior I couldn't talk or listen to him, which really pisses me off. I hate these NCAA rules. We got pushed off the water due to horrible conditions, very large waves (hey we row on a little lake in the middle of the city, not on open water or even the big lakes around here.) whitecaps and lots of wind. We were twenty two minutes into our forty minute piece when Ed sent us in. We had dropped to sixes three minutes earlier because we weren't being very effective by eights. Not that sixes made any difference. When we got on the dock Kevin (my stroke today) and I had to hold the boat out to keep it from smashing on the dock. I haven't seen water that bad in a long time.I gave Pat (seven seat, Patrick is the coxn just in case you were confused) a ride home at the end of the day, and we talked about his girlfriend and my mistake with one of the seniors from last year. I guess the whole team knew about it even my coach, who failed to tell me that he knew while the office staff and Lawrence rubbed it in my face every chance they got. But at least I wasn't the only one who got a lot of shit for it. He did to, most of it from Ed. Serves him right little (or not so little) shit. Really he's a nice guy, but this is a long long story so.. I hope you all have a good night and I'll be back with tales of seat races and frozen coxns. (We seat race in bowloaders.) Send any feedback you have about anything. I'd love to hear it! Please! (sorry this is a little random) Never forget to fight. ~YogiB
